My name is Maria Escobar and I am the clinic manager for HMG Health Care Lancaster and HMG Health Care Community Clinic Inc Palmdale.
Working in the medical field is the most exciting and charming environment. When I grow up I will go with my mother to her doctor’s appointments, I will be her interpreter.
I noticed the lack of Spanish-speaking nurses and saw the importance of leaving the clinic knowing exactly what their needs were. My mother always said, .- “Thank you for coming with me.” This motivated me to work in the medical field someday, and help many more parents and grandparents. To be one more of the Spanish interpreters and also to advocate for them.
Serving the community for over 10 years as a medical assistant has been the most accomplished, blessed and valuable goal.
